The Van Gogh Study Series consists of 16 hand-painted reproductions created as a focused study of Vincent van Gogh’s use of color, movement, and emotional expression. Each piece was painted as part of a learning process, allowing close examination of his brushwork, composition, and rhythm.
While the original compositions are faithfully referenced, every painting remains fully hand painted, with natural variation and texture that reflect the process behind each study. This series was created to better understand the techniques that defined Van Gogh’s work and to strengthen foundational skills through direct observation and practice.
The collection represents a completed chapter in AJ’s artistic development, serving as both a tribute to one of history’s most influential painters and a stepping stone toward his current focus on realism and original portrait work.
